Dr. Christina Choe and Carolina Skin and Laser is proud to offer the UltraPulse® CO2 laser.  This laser is one of the most powerful and versatile options available for laser skin resurfacing.  It offers a full range of modalities and is considered the gold standard in the cosmetic industry.  Since multiple treatment options are available via the same device, the UltraPulse® laser is adaptable enough to treat a variety of conditions including sun damaged skin, wrinkles and all forms of scarring.

Wondering if UltraPulse® is right for you? To find out, request a consultation with Dr. Christina Choe by calling 828-233-2420.

UltraPulse® can penetrate deeper than any aesthetic ablative CO2 laser. Combined with great versatility, this makes UltraPulse® perfect for both everyday procedures and the thick and complex lesions. The UltraPulse® CO2 laser works by delivering powerful laser energy into specific areas. This stimulates the growth of new skin and new, healthy collagen.  When this occurs, it helps even and smooth imperfections, tightens skin and reduces wrinkles as your skin heals.

UltraPulse® utilizes several fractional treatment modalities to match the existing needs of the patient. SCAAR FX™ technology enables treatment of a variety of severe skin lesions, such as surgical and acne scars. Utilizing SCAARFX™ technology, the UltraPulse® CO2 laser removes damaged, scarred collagen to allow for the growth of brand new collagen. During this treatment, the appearance of scars is improved.  But additionally, SCAARFX™ can alleviate the pain and itching often experienced by patients with severe scars.

Since the UltraPulse® CO2 is a fractional laser, it penetrates the skin in smaller pinpoints instead of more broad bands.  This allows for a quicker recovery time and a more comfortable procedure when compared to more traditional ablative lasers.

Patients can expect to see a noticeable difference in wrinkle reduction, skin texture, pore size and sun damage once healing is complete.  However, results continue to improve over time as new collagen is formed.

Do you think that the UltraPulse® CO2 could be the right treatment to target your areas of concern?  If so, call our office today to schedule your cosmetic consultation with our fellowship-trained, oculoplastic surgeon, Dr. Christina Choe.
