Oculoplastics is the subspecialty of ophthalmology that deals with the plastic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, eyebrows, orbits, lacrimal system (tear ducts), forehead, cheeks, and bones around the eye. While some oculoplastic surgery can be purely cosmetic in nature, many of these surgeries are designed to improve vision for the patient.
